May 1, 2024 Dear Weston Families, Today we were made aware of an active shooter situation in the Mount Horeb School community. Although we are not aware of the details, we want you to know that whenever a situation like this occurs in our schools we are on heightened alert. At Weston we have been trained and have implemented the Standard Response Protocol from the “I Love You Guys Foundation”. We are providing the Standard Response Protocol you should know as a parent/guardian of one or more of our students. Our thoughts are with the Mount Horeb community as they process the traumatic events of today. We ask you to talk with your child about the school safety drills that we practice here so everyone can become more familiar with them and know the importance of what to do in any emergency situation. High school students: If you need some community service hours, the township of Westford is looking for 3 or 4 students to help with roadside cleanup. If interested, please stop in the high school office. Seniors, please report to the high school office after 2nd hour.

Attention students in Mr. Chambers's 4th period - field trip permission slips are due today, Thursday, April 25th. If you do not submit a permission slip, you will not be able to attend the field trip.
