Ithaca/Weston Middle School Girls' Basketball Coach (Part-Time/Stipend Position)
I. Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced individual to serve as a coach for our Middle School Girls' Basketball program. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of the team, emphasizing fundamental skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fostering a positive and encouraging environment for young female athletes.
II. Key Responsibilities
The coach will be responsible for:
Instruction and Skill Development: Planning and conducting organized, effective, and age-appropriate practices that focus on basketball fundamentals (dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, spacing).
Team Leadership: Supervising all team activities, including practices, games, and team meetings, ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
Game Management: Developing effective game strategies, managing player rotations, and maintaining professional conduct with officials, opponents, and parents.
Mentorship: Promoting positive student-athlete behavior, emphasizing good sportsmanship, discipline, commitment, and academic success.
Program Administration: Working cooperatively with the Athletic Directors for scheduling, transportation, equipment inventory, and uniform distribution/collection.
Communication: Maintaining open and timely communication with parents regarding practice schedules, game times, and team expectations.
III. Desired Qualifications and Attributes
A. Required Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience at the middle school, club, high school, or collegiate level, preferred.
Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of basketball.
Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged girls (ages 11-14).
Must be able to pass a required background check.
Availability for late afternoon/evening practices and games (typically 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM).

✅ 2 years of post-secondary education (preferred)
✅ CPR, First Aid, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training required (provided at no cost)
✅ Must obtain a Wisconsin Substitute Teacher License (District will assist)
✅ Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
🛠️ Job Responsibilities:
• Transport students via school vehicle to off-campus classes
• Support classroom instructional activities
• Supervise and manage students in both structured and non-structured settings (cafeteria, playground, etc.)
• Assist with personal care needs including feeding, diapering/toileting, hygiene
• Operate office machines and use technology effectively
• Maintain confidentiality and display professionalism at all times
• Collaborate positively with staff, students, and families
• Be punctual, self-directed, and flexible with assignments
• Demonstrate patience, compassion, and a calm demeanor

Student Transportation Position
Weston School District is seeking a responsible individual to provide student transportation services at the elementary level. This position is for up to 3.5 hours a day, twice a day, following the regular school calendar.
Shift 1: 7:00-10:30 AM
Shift 2: 1:00-4:30 PM

Substitute Teachers
Interested applicants should have an associate's degree and a substitute teaching license through the Wisconsin Department of Instruction (DPI). The daily pay begins at $130, and increases based upon licensure.
