For many years, Mr. Noah Rothering inspired students through Earth Day at Weston, sharing his deep love for nature and helping others understand its importance. The school forest was truly his second classroom, where he spent 30 years cultivating, exploring, and documenting the trees and land alongside his students.
After his retirement, that tradition fadedโbut this year, we knew it was time to bring it back. We were honored to welcome Mr. Rothering back to work with students in the forest once again. His passion, knowledge, and impact continue to live onโnot only in our school, but through generations of students, families, and even teachers he once taught.
To recognize his lasting influence, we proudly surprised him with a dedication assembly and renamed our school forest โThe Rothering Forest.โ ๐ฒIt was special for our students but also for our staffโmany of whom were once Mr. Rotheringโs students and colleagues.
Thank you, Mr. Rothering, for planting seeds of knowledge and passion that will continue to grow in our community for years to come ๐ฑ
