Following the survey conducted at the end of 2020 with School Perceptions LLC, the District and Board have decided to ask the community to vote on a $975,000 operational referendum to maintain current programs and services for the next four years. In addition to ensuring the District has the funds to support daily operations, the District has identified additional facility projects necessary to provide a safe and quality learning environment for all students. Because these projects are too large to be funded within the District’s annual budget, the April 6, 2021 ballot will also be asking the community to vote on a $1.9 million capital improvement referendum to assist with the following facility projects:
- Updating the high school flooring, including the gym, hallways, and classrooms, which currently contain asbestos floor tile and mastic
- Replacing the fully adhered high school roof that has exceeded its useful life with the potential to cause structural damage to the school if not fixed
- Installing new, more efficient school boilers and upgrading the existing pneumatic controls to direct digital controls that are more efficient and will improve air quality
As a District, we remain committed to fulfilling our mission of enabling all students to reach their full potential through a safe, responsible, and respectful learning community. This webpage is designed so the community can follow our progress throughout this process. We will continue to update this webpage as additional information becomes available. We urge you to review the information and contact the District office with any questions.
