We are pleased to announce that the Weston School District, with the support of the Weston FFA, will be offering food assistance to those families in need, through our own school food pantry.
We would invite your family to sign up to receive various food items once a week, on Fridays. These items will be sent home in a tote bag with a child you indicate. If for some reason school is not in session on a Friday, due to an inservice day or vacation day, the food would be sent home on the last day that school will be in session that week. You may choose to pick up your family’s food tote on Fridays. Food items will vary weekly depending on what we have available in our school pantry. All food items have been donated by students, staff, or community members through local food drives.
Donations can be dropped off in the high school office. Please feel free to contact the school at 608-986-2151 if you have any questions-- Sue Louis Ext. 120, Amanda Keller Ext. 201, or Randi Osborne Ext. 217.
The Weston Student Council will also be offering a Comfort Closet to families in need. It will open to anyone at anyone or the items can be sent home with a student, similar to the food pantry bags. Items available include:
Donations can be dropped off in the high school office. For more information regarding the Comfort Closet, please contact the school at 608-986-2151 -- Melissa Ladika Ext. 210 or a student in Student Council.
We look forward to working with you to offer any assistance we can.
Sincerely,
Sue Louis & Amanda Keller - Community Outreach Co-Coordinators
