Clubs and Activites

Spanish Club

Spanish Club provides fun supplementary activities for students enrolled in high school Spanish classes in order to further celebrate the language and culture of Hispanic countries.  Activities include eating at Mexican restaurants, singing Spanish Christmas carols around the school, reading children's books in Spanish to elementary students, celebrating holiday traditions, teaching elementary students mini language and culture lessons, holding a mini festival for Day of the Dead, field trips to cultural events and performances, and Spanish movie and game nights.

Student Council

Student Council represents the pulse of the student body.  They actively seek projects to improve the quality and atmosphere of the school they represent.  Annually, they assist with lunch and a movie, monitor and fill vending machines, plan and supervise Homecoming activities and parade, and plan and supervise Winter Carnival and the ski trip.

FFA

FFA is one of three components of effective agricultural education. Members learn by doing to make agricultural education relevant and use skills learned in the classroom in competitions. By joining FFA students have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, travel, meet new people, and focus on career success. Visit our website at www.westonffa.theaet.com to see what Weston's members are doing.

Drama Club

Weston's Drama Club began in 2011 after students produced a very successful play for a SADD program. Since that time students have performed on Earth Day, produced several comedies, and a mystery dinner theater. Elementary, middle, and high school students have all been members of our drama club, so anyone is welcome to join as an actor, prop person, or sound technician. We hope that you will join us for our performance this spring. More information will follow!

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization  established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.  The Weston NHS students are involved in a variety of leadership projects throughout the school year.  Major Service projects include a Blood Drive twice a year, giving tree at Christmas time, a spring project that changes each year, and a variety of smaller projects.
