Molly Kasten is the Middle School Special Education teacher in the Weston School District. She is a qualified educator and holds a bachelors of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also has her masters in Education Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.

Ms. Kasten has taught for five years with at-risk students in an alternative to expulsion program in the Madison Metropolitan School District. During her time in this program she was Department Chair, responsible for daily operations and procedures for the off campus program. She was also on the English Language Arts team for the school, working to align curriculum, assessment and instruction in multiple alternative programs. Ms. Kasten was also a member of the Site Based Leadership team that developed and monitored the School Improvement Plan. Prior to teaching, Kasten stayed home to raise her four children. In fact, she did not continue her education until her youngest child was entering school.

Ms. Kasten is very passionate about curriculum and instruction. She feels that all students should have access to high quality curriculum and instruction. She also believes in the power of relationships with students and staff. All of her work starts with building relationships.
